Janera Solomon is the Executive Director of the Kelly Strayhorn Theater. An experienced curator, Ms. Solomon has worked with the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival (2006 & 2007), and developed the “First Voice International Black Performing Arts Festival” produced by the August Wilson Center for African American Culture. As a planning consultant she has worked on; content development and programming for Museum of the African Diaspora (San Francisco), planning and project management at the August Wilson Center, audience development/branding at Brooklyn Museum of Art, and most recently program planning at the National Museum for African American History and Culture currently under development in Washington DC.
