We need to find ways to contain our hunger for energy and other resources that are, inevitably, dwindling. Are there solutions? How realistic are they? And how can they be implemented?
Come listen to our experts’ well-formulated ideas as they discuss and debate Green chemistry, adapting our manufacturing processes, energy options, infrastructure and more. Our panel includes Dr. Paul Anastas, known as the father of Green Chemistry, who joined Yale University as Professor in the Practice of Green Chemistry with appointments in the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Department of Chemistry, and Department of Chemical Engineering and also serves as the Director of the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale; Steve Winberg who is the Vice President for CONSOL Energy Research & Development, which focuses on energy development, improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions; Audrey Russo who started as president and chief executive officer at the Pittsburgh Technology Council in early October of 2007; and Dr. Moira Gunn who is Host of Tech Nation, the sole national weekly radio program on the impact of technology, and its weekly BioTech Nation segment which enjoys the same status in the area of biotech issues.
Cocktails and conversation to follow. Join us!

“The arts open your heart and mind to possibilities that are limitless. They are pathways that touch upon our brains and emotions and bring sustenance to imagination. Human beings’ greatest form of communication, they walk in tandem with science and play and best describe what it is to be human.”
– Jacques d’Amboise –
Jacques d’Amboise, one of the finest classical dancers of our time, joins Michele de la Reza, co-founder of Attack Theatre, to discuss how the arts impact community, youth and the city. Moderated by Lynne Conner, we’ll surprise you with a youthful warm-up act by the Coleman Brothers and a dance event led by Peter Kope which will bring down the house!
Bring your questions, your ideas and your energy. It might be you out on the dance floor. Cocktails and conversation to follow.
