This series of free business education workshops for independent workers is a project of our 6% Place experiment. Follow along with our blog!
about the series
Lessons from the 6% Place is a free business education series for freelancers and other creative entrepreneurs. The series is based in Garfield, the home of cityLAB’s 6% Place experiment, which seeks to build Garfield’s creative worker community.
Lessons from the 6% Place aims to make the business part of running one’s own creative business (e.g., contracts, incorporating, and accounting) less scary with spirited workshops led by subject experts with an affinity for the creative community. Talks are followed by Q&A, snacks, and networking. The series is free and open to the public.
