We’re already gearing up for our third Lesson from the 6% Place, Financial Planning for Freelancers (which will take place on June 13th — RSVP here!) and wanted to share some photos from our first two sessions.
In our first session, attorney Eric Davis of Elliot & Davis, PC explained the legal issues related to running one’s own business and fielded questions from the crowd of 35 attendees.
For our second session, “Cringe-Free Accounting,” accountant Valerie Voss from Wilke & Associates explained everything from entity selection to deductible business expenses to our crowd of 28 freelancers.
Our thanks to Eric and Valerie for giving such great presentations, to Mark and Jarmele Fairclaugh, Abby Russell, and cityLAB’s very own Mollie and Alex for helping run the workshops, and to the Heinz Endowments and the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation for their support.
