Famously in 2009, Pittsburgh was named most livable city in the United States and 29th-most-livable city worldwide by The Economist. This year Pittsburgh has again been ranked as the most livable city in the United States, by Forbes and Yahoo, as the 7th best city in which to raise a family, the 4th best for working mothers by Forbes and as one of the best cities for entrepreneurs by Entrepeneur. Most recently CNBC declared Pittsburgh to be the best city to move to, citing the affordable housing market, stable climate, healthy job market and access t0 the arts, education and sports.
As President Obama said when designating Pittsburgh as the host city for the G20 Summit; “Pittsburgh stands as a bold example of how to create new jobs and industries while transitioning to a 21st century economy.”
